Pinging……is something that all bloggers must take seriously.  Having the right ping sites listed in your wordpress admin area is critical to notifying the web that your blog has just been updated.

Copy and paste them and insert them in your wp admin area:

f you are using WP 2.7, its in at the bottom on Settings-Writing page with "Update Services" heading.

Smart Update Pinger is a great free plugin to use which makes sure sites are only pinged when a new post is written rather than edited.
