I just finished reading “Blogging for Fame and Fortune” by Jason Rich. As the owner of a blog network and a popular blog about blogging, I like to read all new books that come out on this topic. I was very impressed with this offering as it shows some great ways to make your blog famous and shows you how to make money.

As the title suggests this book is about how to blog for money. Many people set up a blog and think that they will get rich automatically. What I love about this book is that the author stresses time and time again that this is not a get rich quick scheme. It takes countless hours of dedication and patience to become successful. The book is written is a very easy to understand and flows very easily. I was able to read the entire resource in one sitting. Once I started reading I was learning so much that I did not want to put it down. The guide is well organized and the topics are well researched. There is a lot of unique content and there were some tips and monetization strategies that I have never heard of before.

In closing, I would recommend this book to any existing blogger who wants to take it to the next level and start getting their blog noticed and start making money on the Internet. If you are brand new to blogging this may not be the best introductory book as it talks about advanced subjects.

I just finished reading “The Rough Guide to Blogging.” As a new professional blogger and owner of several blog directories, I am attempting to read every thing I can on the subject of blogging. I have read other offerings from the “rough guide” series so my expectations were set very high. I am happy to report that this guide exceeded my expectations.

This book provides an in-depth and thorough view into the world of blogging.

There are a lot of pages devoted to starting up a blog and getting it of the ground. This is important because so many blogs fail in the first month; this will help get you over that hurdle. The book is small but do not be fooled there is great information contained in the pages. There is absolutely no filler; everything that is written is great information that all bloggers need to know.

It was very well written and extremely engaging. I picked it up and did not put it down until I finished it. I have been blogging for years but I learned so much from this author. This blog resource is probably the best value you can find in bookstores in regards to valuable information versus price.

In closing, I would highly recommend this to everyone that has a blog or anyone that is thinking about starting one. The entire series is a must for new bloggers but even professional bloggers like me can pick up some new and helpful tips from this book.

I just finished reading “The Blogging Church” by Brian and Terry Stork. Although I am not a pastor, I am a professional blogger and wanted to read this book to gain some perspective on how other folks are effectively using blogs. I found the book to very insightful and I think the appeal is broader than they may have imagined when they started writing the book.

The book is essentially a how to guide that helps churches learn how to blog. The book is well written and it is very easy to understand. There is a lot of information, so it may be difficult for a new blogger to absorb it all in one setting. Even I went back to read some chapters to let it soak in better. There are chapters that explore the concept of why blogging is useful and then they dive right into how best to implement the blog. There are many real life examples and case studies that show the reader how churches are getting results in reaching out and opening up a dialogue with their congregation through blogging. The book also explores issues related to blogging that are outside of the church. For example, there are two great chapters about blogging for positive change and the greater good.

In closing, I would highly recommend this book to any church leader as well as any new or experienced blogger because there is great information about the usefulness of blogs and how they can positively impact society.
